- The garment features 33 long streamers crafted from a striking blend of navy and white fabric, gracefully hanging from a flat tab that combines both colours and is adorned with six elegant pearl buttons. The neck strap is equally eye-catching, comprised of three flat tabs in complementary navy and white, each detailed with an additional six pearl buttons for a touch of sophistication. This neck strap is beautifully constructed from 19 individual strings of beads, alternating between navy and white, which adds a rich texture and depth to the design. A single tab offers support and structure at the back of the garment, while two front tabs elegantly frame the neck area. These front tabs are secured with three tasteful pearl buttons, ensuring style and functionality. This attire, traditionally worn by middle-aged and adult men and women from the AbaThembu community in the Qebe location, directly reflects their cultural heritage and artistry in design.
